We are delighted to announce that Squire Artists will now be taking up the worldwide representation of the Dutch Ciconia Consort – The Hague String Orchestra. In ten years’ time this international ensemble of 20 young musicians under the leadership of Dick van Gasteren has built up an extensive repertoire with an emphasis on late Romantic and contemporary music. Renowned for its unique theme-based programming, the Ciconia Consort has revived quite a few forgotten masterpieces, which in turn led to numerous Dutch premieres and world premieres. The ensemble has released four CDs on the ‘Brilliant Classics’ label which received worldwide critical acclaim and are frequently broadcast on radio stations worldwide.
