“Weithaas plays with vigour and power, als well as a willingness to stop and smell the flowers along the way. Her playing is lush and sweet-toned.”

Antje Weithaas

“... Lovely sound, beautifully played. There is a lot of definition and finesse to it. Very expressive in the lyrical moments”

Ciconia Consort

“Very reflective and poetic performances which dig deep into the soul both of Chopin and Schubert.”

Camiel Boomsma

"Style, interaction, an approach suffused with a sense of humanity: Quatuor Tchalik's performances bear the signature of one of the great French quartets of the new generation!"

Quatuor Tchalik

"Any more compellingly idiomatic or richly seasoned cello playing than this would be hard to contemplate" - International Record Review

Raphael Wallfisch

" ...The young Italian conductor, Gioele Muglialdo, was precise to the second, the millimeter! Such perfection would deserve the creation of a special award, the "Honorary Metropolis"

Gioele Muglialdo

“Keigo Mukawa, a whirlwind of hallucinatory poetry”

Keigo Mukawa

"The finest Brahms playing one could hope to hear" - "These four instruments are like a breath of fresh air on the chamber music scene.

Leipziger Streichquartett

“in Dvorak’s G major Quartet, Opus 106……It was a joy to witness the visual communication the quartet displayed with each other……if I had to single out one movement for praise, it would be the slow Adagio, in which the quartet’s glowing tone filled the entire gallery. The exciting finale was delivered with great panache. What a great start to the season.”

Piatti Quartet

"A very vivid, distinctive and already legendary pianist"

Nick van Bloss

"A splendid performance guaranteed with the Berlinskaya-Ancelle duo which, by the virtue of their unified playing, is reflected by an irresistible interpretation marked by a wonderful sense of freshness and relief."

Berlinskaya - Ancelle duo

“These four musicians form a brilliant unit. They work together like a well-oiled machine, making music with a single, big beating heart.”

New to Squire Artists: Nick van Bloss

Nick van Bloss

We are very happy to announce that we will now be taking up the worldwide representation of pianist Nick van Bloss.

"... Nick van Bloss can claim the remarkable achievement of creating a thoroughly distinctive sound. No one else matches the crystalline clarity of his fingering, his ability to find motifs and figures hidden in the textures, and his hypnotic driving sense of pulse...the English Chamber Orchestra is infected by his inspiration.” - George Pratt, BBC Music Magazine

Squire Artists launches a new series of concerts

Het Concertgebouw

We are happy to announce that Squire Artists will once again be organising a number of concerts under its own management. In addition to our contribution to the annually recurring Februari Festival in The Hague, we believe that - considering all the turbulent events of the past six months - there is no better time than the present for us to develop an initiative of our own.

The first two concerts will be held at the Amsterdam Concertgebouw Recital Hall on Sunday, 1 November 2020. Soprano Aylin Sezer & conductor/pianist Ed Spanjaard and the Malevich Piano Quartet (in collaboration with the Orlando Festival) will both be presenting their programme twice on this date. All the necessary information about concert times, programmes and tickets can be found on the Concertgebouw website.

Raphael Wallfisch - Cello Concertos by Mieczysław Weinberg

Raphael_Wallfisch Weinberg CD

"Wallfisch shows what a fine cellist he is here. His playing is stunning, his sound warm, and his technique is assured."

"I would recommend this disc to everyone unreservedly, as the performances by all are of the first order, and the soloist is one of the great cellists of his generation."
