Founded and developed by Roelof Jonker, Squire Artists has built an international reputation for representing leading chamber ensembles and creating lasting relationships between artists, concert venues and festivals. With his deep knowledge of the chamber music world, his commitment to artistic quality and his personal dedication to the musicians he represented, Roelof established a distinctive profile for the agency.

In memory of Roelof Jonker (1948–2026)

Roelof Jonker founded Squire Artists with a passion for chamber music and a profound commitment to the musicians he represented. Through his knowledge, integrity and personal approach, he built lasting relationships with artists, venues and festivals worldwide. His vision continues to inspire the work of Squire Artists today.

Following Roelof’s wishes, Eva Weidema has taken over the management of Squire Artists and continues the agency’s work with the same dedication to artistic excellence, personal contact and long-term collaboration.

Eva brings a background that combines music, performance and communication. She studied Music at the University of California, Santa Cruz, with a focus on voice, and also pursued studies in orchestration, composition and musicology. After returning to the Netherlands, she worked as a singer and teacher for many years and co-directed a chamber music series in Utrecht for eight years.

Her later career as a translator and editor specialising in the arts has given her extensive experience in presenting musicians, cultural projects and artistic ideas to international audiences. Through her work with Squire Artists over the past decade, she has developed close relationships with many of the agency’s artists and partners.

Today, Squire Artists continues to support exceptional musicians with creative programmes, thoughtful presentation and a personal approach – connecting artists and audiences through the power of chamber music.
