"These performances are excellent. There's plenty of energy and precision, and Venezia clearly has fun with the many character changes that often occur in Casella's pieces."
American Record Guide
"The Quartetto di Venezia is more that charming; it is serious and substantial. Among its many beauties is a tuneful and emotionally resonant slow movement, a kaleidoscopically faceted theme and variations. The Verdi quartet closed the evening in incisive and authoritative performances."
Los Angeles Times - Daniel Cariaga
"...They are fine musicians and excellent instrumentalists ... the quality of the sound, good intonation and perfect balance make this quartet's performance a moving experience."
La Nación de Buenos Aires - A.E. Gimenez
Analytical precision and passion are the distinctive characteristics of the Venetian ensemble, inherited quality of two basic schools of quartet interpretation: the "Quartetto Italiano" under the guidance of Maestro Piero Farulli and the Mid-European School of "Vegh Quartet", through several meetings with Sandor Vegh and Paul Szabo. From 2017 The Quartetto di Venezia has been “Quartet in Residence” at the Fondazione Giorgio Cini in Venice. Recently they entered into a new collaboration with the Benetton Foundation.
Whatever the genre, Malipiero found his own unique soundworld. His evolving preoccupations can be traced across these eight beautifully performed works: Quartets Nos 1 and 2 evoke Italian Classicism, while Nos 7 and 8 move off into richly chromatic, post-Romantic soundscapes.
BBC Music Magazine, March 2023 - Steve Wright
Andrea Vio - violin
Alberto Battiston - violin
Mario Paladin - viola
Angelo Zanin - cello
"This is a group that stands out in the varied and vast European musical field. The perfect technical mastery and the power of their performances, characterized by the push towards an absolute value of themselves as true performers, place the Quartet of Venice at the top of their category and among the very few worthy of taking over the role of the great Quartets of the past".
Los Angeles Times
