The Chamber Soloists of Detroit will be celebrating their 10th Anniversary at the Amsterdam Concertgebouw on 26 November 2022. Olivier Patey, principal clarinettist of the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, is the ‘special guest’ at this Jubilee Concert.
Now a major presence in Detroit and beyond, Chamber Soloists of Detroit was launched in 2012 by artistic director and Steinway artist Pauline Martin. An unforgettable gala performance by her former teacher and mentor Menahem Pressler would ignite her mission to elevate the image of the culturally rich city of Detroit, once called the 'Paris of the Midwest'.
Expect a stunning array of emotions, as Pauline Martin and her outstanding ensemble of Detroit's finest take the stage. Performing a varied and scintillating programme featuring Brahms’ well-loved Clarinet Trio, Joaquín Turina’s festive Second Piano Trio and the arresting Piano Quintet by Dmitri Shostakovich, plus a premiere performance of the intriguing new Chamber Suite from the award-winning HBO film Black Boy Joy by rising star Ryn Jorgensen of Detroit, Chamber Soloists of Detroit will leave you yearning for more!
