Chamber Soloists of Detroit & Olivier Patey On 26 November 2022, Chamber Soloists of Detroit celebrated its 10th Anniversary at the Amsterdam Concertgebouw. Olivier Patey, principal clarinettist of the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, was the ‘special guest’ at this Jubilee Concert.

The Anniversary Concert featured a varied and scintillating programme, including Brahms’ well-loved Clarinet Trio, Joaquín Turina’s festive Second Piano Trio and the arresting Piano Quintet by Dmitri Shostakovich, plus a premiere performance of the intriguing new Chamber Suite from the award-winning HBO film Black Boy Joy by rising star Ryn Jorgensen of Detroit. NPO Klassiek made a recording of this stunning concert.

Now adding domestic and international touring commitments to its annual subscription series of concerts, CSD is truly fulfilling its mission to serve as artistic ambassador on a global scale for the culturally rich city of Detroit, once known as the “Paris of the West".

We are all looking forward to Chamber Soloists of Detroit taking the stage again soon!
